The room was spacious and flooded with natural light. However, the space was not clearly zoned, and it was important for the client to provide a full workspace for two people, as well as a place to play guitar in their free time. The challenge was to separate the working and living areas, while keeping the zoning mobile and easily transformable. For this interior, we chose a soft pastel palette with retro elements to add character to the basic interior.
In the alcove we placed two desks and hung a colorful painting in the background to make a beautiful backdrop for video calls. A screen will stand to the left of the desks. This variant of zoning is mobile and can be changed depending on the task. The living room has changed its location: now the sofa stands in the center of the room and separates the passageway zone from the TV zone. We also managed to allocate a music zone for playing guitar.
The centerpiece is a console with an accent painting, which sets an overall light and cheerful mood for the whole interior. The painting is supported by textiles throughout the room, including decorative pillows, plaid, and a rug in the working area. For coziness added medium light - floor lamp, table lamp on the TV cabinet, table lamp on the desk. Since the dining area is fully visible from the living room, we did not neglect it either and added a bright painting by artist Carla Lanos, which became a connecting element of these two rooms.
The final design successfully combines functionality and style, providing separate areas for work, relaxation and music. Each zone was thoughtfully designed to fulfill its function while maintaining a harmonious and cozy look. The overall atmosphere of the space is warm and personalized, reflecting the clients' wishes and interests.
"I believe that interior design is more than just decoration. It’s a reflection of your personality, lifestyle, and needs. I create spaces that are unique for each client. My approach is to make your interior a cozy corner where you feel comfortable, whether you are at home or far away from your familiar surroundings." — Elina, Interior Designer
