Increasing the Kitchen in a Rental Apartment

The small kitchen lacked sufficient storage and workspace. To address this, we added a turquoise island, providing extra storage on one side and legroom on the other. We paired it with soft boucle-upholstered counter stools for comfort and style.

Furniture selection for the interior

Dining Area

A round white dining table is positioned by the window, accompanied by bold burgundy chairs. This setup offers a compact yet flexible dining area, with additional seating available for guests.

Living Room

The living area features a neutral beige velvet sofa, complemented by a vibrant blue-patterned rug that visually connects the kitchen and living space. The overall color palette is light and airy, accented with turquoise, ochre, and burgundy for contrast and depth.

Accent Curtains

To enhance the windows, I suggested accent curtains with a bold geometric print, making them a key design element in this interior. Their graphic style is echoed by track lighting and the workspace details.

Thoughtful Zoning

The workspace is located to the left of the entrance, creating a comfortable area for studying and working without distractions from the TV zone. A storage cabinet was also placed near the desk for personal items and quick access during busy mornings.
