Bringing in the Light
With no natural daylight, the entrance needed a different way to feel bright and welcoming. A warm yellow tone continues from part of the wall onto the ceiling, bringing a sense of sunlight into the space. The remaining surfaces stay soft and neutral in cream and beige, while a black skirting board creates a graphic line that emphasises the contrast.
Existing & New
The clients’ existing blue cabinet was retained, bringing one of the apartment’s key colours into the entrance area. On the opposite side, a console and mirror complete the composition and add the functionality needed for everyday use. In this way, even a windowless entrance becomes connected to the colourful character of the rest of the apartment.
