How to make an attic floor functional

The design of the attic floor office was developed taking into account the complex geometry of the space and the sloping ceilings. The main task was to create a cozy and functional interior that levels out the visual disadvantages of the room and emphasizes its uniqueness.

Terracotta sofa against a green wall

The walls and bevels are painted in a dark green shade, but to equalize the perception of color, the bevels were made a couple of tones lighter. This technique helped to create an enveloping atmosphere, especially when there is a lack of light, when the shades seem to merge and make the space harmonious.

Successful storage system

Under the beveled ceilings, storage systems were placed to hide the darkest and most non-functional corners, while maximizing useful space. The centerpiece is a bright accent sofa located in the area with the highest ceiling height. It attracts attention and becomes the visual center of the room.
