Designed Around the Client
The kitchen demonstrates how thoughtful composition can completely change the perception of space. Although compact, it feels calm, cohesive and visually spacious.
Color as a Compositional Tool
One of the key design decisions was to visually merge the upper part of the kitchen. The upper cabinets share the same deep blue tone as the backsplash tiles, allowing them to blend into the wall instead of appearing as separate volumes.
A Contemporary Take on Retro
The backsplash combines two colours not simply for decoration. A light horizontal band connects the tiles, countertop and wooden base cabinets into one continuous composition, visually widening the room.
Function Without Compromise
Storage was carefully planned. Three tall cabinets accommodate the main appliances and storage, while the washing machine is integrated next to the sink and remains almost invisible.
Designed for Everyday Living
Open shelving and the pendant light complete the composition, adding personality while maintaining a balance between functionality and warmth.
