Defined Spaces
The main goal was to transform one open room into several clearly defined functional zones without changing its existing character completely. The living and dining area was placed closer to the kitchen, while the sleeping area became a separate, more private part of the room. This simple reorganisation gave each function its own place and made the entire space feel more comfortable and intentional.
A Proper Sleeping Area
Previously, the bed stood along the wall, making the sleeping area feel temporary and disconnected from the rest of the interior. Turning it towards the centre of the room created access from both sides and gave the bed a much stronger presence. The existing shelves above it were retained and connected visually with an artwork beside the headboard, creating one balanced composition based on the golden ratio.
Small Changes, New Perspective
Most of the large furniture was already there: the sofa, bed and wardrobe all remained. Instead, the transformation comes through smaller interventions. New textiles completely change the appearance of the existing sofa, while a compact round dining table, accent chairs, a sculptural floor lamp and a chest of drawers with a mirror add new functions and bring the different zones together.
Color in Balance
A separate reading corner by the beautifully glazed window completes the layout, with a terracotta armchair creating a warm focal point. The overall palette combines terracotta, red and turquoise — orange, red and blue-green within Itten’s colour wheel. These expressive tones appear in selected pieces rather than throughout the entire room, giving the interior character while keeping the composition balanced.

“I believe that interior design is more than just decoration. It's a reflection of your personality, lifestyle, and needs. I create spaces that are unique for each client. My approach is to make your interior a cozy corner where you feel comfortable, whether you are at home or far away from your familiar surroundings.”
